OSG Veneer Plaster Systems

Veneer plaster, also known as "blue-board" or "thin-coat," is a hard, glass-smooth, monolithic, bright-white finish that can be used with virtually any design. With veneer plaster and steel framing virtually any ceiling or wall finish concept can be realized, without the surface imperfections common to drywall, including visible seams and butt joints, screw sinks, nail pops, ridging, and banding.

Our preferred method of veneer plastering is a two-coat process. This technique creates a first coat with a compressive strength of 2800 PSI, ensuring less shrinkage and eliminating the inherent flaws of drywall, which is not possible with a single coat system. The second is a smooth, white coat that unlike drywall doesn't require sanding.

Our company has installed enormous amounts of drywall and is highly qualified to complete contracts that call for traditional drywall finishes. We can in many cases, however, provide total or partial veneer plaster finishes within budgets specified for drywall. There is no better system available today for heavy traffic areas, or in public spaces where the quality of the finish is more visible and more important.

If your building specifications call for traditional drywall applications, let us work with you to define a strategy within your budget to provide veneer plaster in areas that will highlight the quality of your workmanship and insure that your client’s expectations are exceeded.
